BINGO Telescope

The BINGO Telescope is a radio telescope specifically designed to achieve the first detection of Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO). These are waves generated by the interaction between atoms and radiation in the early Universe, which can be monitored by radio frequency range. This will enable the measurement of the distribution of neutral hydrogen at cosmological distances using a technique called Intensity Mapping. Through BINGO Telescope, it will be possible to measure the expansion of the Universe and infer the properties of dark energy. In other words, BINGO Telescope will capture hydrogen radiation, which can indicate the distribution of galaxies shortly after the Big Bang.
